Mount System

Mount System
by Shouko [ source ] [ source ]

The mount system was implemented by the EYDENTITY Games developers for Dragon Nest [드래군네스트].

So far, there are only two "different" mounts in the game (both are horses, hence the use of quotes).

By completing the Manticore Nest (Hell Mode) or the Apocalypse Nest (Hell Mode) Instances, you have a small chance of obtaining a horse from one of the Awarding Chests that you get at the end of a successful mission followed by your ranking.

The Mount Item can be exchange for a respective mount through NPC Lindsay.

Mounts are (so far) only known to be used in Cities/Towns or Roaming Areas (such as the maps where you leave town in order to enter the designated Instance Portal), so there isn't much use for them other than running from one side of Calderock Village or Saint Haven to the other and looking flashy (like a knight!)

We'll see if they have any use in the actual Instance Stages in the future. That would be awesome!

Please take notice that only players of at least level 40 are able to enter the Manticore and Apocalypse Nest Instances. Players are also able to purchase these mounts via the Marketplace/Auction House, but the prices are very high and can cost more than 200 Gold, so only plan on purchasing one if you are absolutely sure that you have enough money to spare along with future equipment.

The Manticore Nest [Hell Mode] gives the possibility of receiving a Black Horse Mount.
The Apocalypse Nest [Hell Mode] gives the possibility of receiving a White Horse Mount.

Both horse mounts give a +60% Speed Boost.

You can also buy a variety of different colored Horse Mounts (like brown, and who knows what else) from the Mount NPC located at the Middle of the Western Side of Saint Haven. The downside of this is that well... these mounts cost 500 Gold for purchase and only give a +50% Speed Boost.

New Titles w/ Better Stats

 New Titles w/ Better Stats
from < source >

Right now what I can think of, are some new titles addition when the Lv40 patch is released. I will only list down those which are deemed quite useful. They may or may not be released, so this is just FYI. I will add on more to this list when I know more =x

Solo Troop Captain
① Insane(Forest of Death Abyss completed without death)—— Can be party-ed!
② Manticore Conqueror(Solo Prayer’s Resting Place Abyss)
③ Berserk(All LV23 Abyss soloed)
④ Champion(All LV31Abyss soloed)
⑤ Dances with Gobfrey(Solo Church Ruins Master)
⑹ Cow Stroller(Solo Catacombs Hall Master)
⑦ Web Trap(Solo Dark Tower Magic Institute Master)
⑧ Free Assault(Solo Silent Monastery Master
)
⑨ Lone Wolf(All LV39 Abyss soloed)

Stats: STR: 25 / AGI: 25 / INT: 23 / VIT: 20 / P.ATK: 40 / M.ATK: 40 / Final Damage: 5

Illusion Shadow Lord
Complete 35 rounds of the new Dark Lair. Which means, defeating Geraint!
Stats: STR:24 / AGI:24 / INT:24 / VIT:24 / P.ATK:27~27 / M.ATK:27~27 / MP Recovery:15
Note: You get various titles while doing the new Dark Lair, but the stats aren’t really magnificent. Hence I won’t be listing them. The levels that you gain the titles are 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, and 35.

F4
Complete all Lv39 with a party of 4 without any deaths.
Stats: INT:17 / VIT:16 / P.ATK:27~27 / M.ATK:27~27
Miracle Man
Complete the Sunken Cargo Ship dungeon Abyss with a party of 4 without any deaths.
Stats: Fire Attack:4% / Fire Defense:4% / Ice Attack:6% / Ice Defense:6%
There are many other titles you can obtain, but they can be found from your achievement window. Some of them include…
1) 2-man completing Manticore Abyss — 5% Light Attack and more
2) 2-man completing Manticore Hell — 6% Light Attack and more
As for the titles from Apocalypse, their stats aren’t that amazing but the names can be quite interesting.

That’s all for now.

Manticore Set v. Apocalypse Set

The additional dark attack modifier for the Manticore Set has been taken out in the other versions of Dragon Nest and would likely come to SEA with the updated stats as well seen at the tables presented below. So, let's get a comparative view on the Manticore and Apocalypse set now that these two new nests will be out in SEA this coming 13th.

Manticore Set
        Sorceress      Set Bonus
2 pieces Vitality +47
3 pieces Intelligence +58
4 pieces Final Damage +98
5 pieces Physical Damage +147
5 pieces Magical Damage +147
5 pieces Light Defence 14%
7 pieces Final Damage +196

Set Style
Warrior
Archer
Sorceress
Cleric

Apocalypse Set
       Sorceress       Set Bonus
2 pieces HP + 2499
3 pieces MP + 2332
4 pieces Final damage +98
5 pieces Physical Damage +147
5 pieces Magical Damage +147
7 pieces Final Damage +196

Set Style
Warrior
Sorceress
Cleric
Archer

You have seen the looks and stats, now it's time to decide. Both sets are somehow the same though they differ only with the set bonuses. With the dark attack boost taken out of the Manticore Set, it no longer has that obvious advantage to the Apocalypse Set.

The Manticore Set has a slight higher attack than the latter since it has the additional stat bonus depending on class. Apocalypse Set on the on the other hand, gives you additional HP and perhaps can pave way to survivability. On a note to the comparison:
  • 1 VIT = 30 HP; 0.6 Pdef, 2.5 stun resist
  • 1 INT = 35 MP; 0.8 Mdef; [dmg inc based on class]
You can have 5 pieces of Manticore equipment so that you'd get the additional stat bonus and craft 2 peices of Apocalypse equipment for the additional HP so that survivability goes into place. Still, at the end of the day, it will boil down to one's preference on what to take that is advantageous to their characters.

Level 32 to 40 Leveling Guide

Level 32 to 40 Leveling Guide
by Gradius [ source ]

Effective Usage of ABP
Currently... DN SEA continue the usage of the ABP system instead of FTG... so I'll try my best to post a guide that will suit our system best... if somehow FTG (fingers-crossed...) is implemented together with the Lv40 cap when it's released (or in the future...) I will re-write this guide that is suppose to go with the FTG system...

Where shall I start?
Firstly... for players who arent hardcore to grind to Lv40 in just a few hours...
Follow the storyline and accept all the quests you can get... including the commission board quests... party up with players (I believe there will be tons of parties around during the early days of cap release...) and run Abyss dungeons... pretty simple right...?

Wonderful Theme Park - 500 Goblin Warriors
300 Goblin Warriors is limited to Lv31 and below only... for Lv32+ players... you get to kill 500 of them...! Be sure to do this as early level as possible... because the exp gained per kill will be decreased as you reach higher levels.

Grinding Dungeons / Commission Board Quests

OK hardcore grinders... this part is for YOU...! From Lv32 to Lv34... recommended dungeon runs is Dark Overlord Training Camp...

Once you reach Lv34... Dark Overlord Tower all the way till Lv40 is probably the best way out for you... yes try to get into parties of 4 to ease the workload... (This is just my personal recommendation...)
Alternatively... you can try out some of the dungeons mentioned below that are quite short...
Main point of this is... whatever ways you use to level-up... try to get into parties of 4 to make full use of the ABP... it will definitely aid you in levelling.

Introduction to Level 32 - 40 Dungeons
Hey... if you are sick of looking at Dark Overlord Training Camp or Dark Overlord Tower over and over again... try out these dungeons for a refreshing play... some of them have things that you will never encounter before!

Hermalte Port - Ruined Riverbanks Path

Imp Graveyard - Lv32+
A mazy map with lots of switches and portals... (Same as Flooded Downstream Ruins...) - Not Recommended

Ruins of Lost Time - Lv36+
Very interesting map as there is a "Past and Present" version... meaning you have to run it "twice" in a single dungeon run... - Not Recommended

Hermalte Port - Charter Ship

Forsaken Islet Center - Lv32+
This dungeon is just like an advanced version of Forsaken Islet... - Can consider under the same category of Forsaken Islet

Sunken Vessel - Lv34+
This is a dungeon that will require some "luck" to clear it as fast as possible... requires you to find 3 statues within a given time... you will have to re-do finding the statues again if you fail to clear it within the time limit... (I will have this as the prettiest boss encountered so far...) - Quite a short dungeon at this level but that's if you can get the statues fast

Captain Durrant Base - Lv38+
The level of the dungeon says it all... quite a difficult dungeon to clear and has 3 maps before Boss... - Not Recommended

Hermalte Port - Dark Mines Access

Crossroad of Death City - Lv34+
Same as Dark and Collapsed Mines... gather the bombs and blast the doors open... there are 2 Boss in this map though... Abyss Mode has 4 Boss... - Average runs and good exp from 4 Boss

Entrance to the Death City - Lv36+
An easy dungeon all the way till the Boss part where its a bit irritating... - Average runs

Tomb of the Nameless Tyrant - Lv38+
Again... the level says it all... difficult dungeon but can be run easily with full party... quite a short dungeon... (Fire Shadow Scream Boss...!) - Average runs

Foothills of Black Mountain - Lonely Forest Path

Explosive Forest Area - Lv36+
Almost similar map to Dried Marissa Spring... quite a short dungeon... (This Boss will show you his eyeball in the boss cut-scene... creepy...) - Average runs

Ghost Village in Gloomy Forest - Lv38+
Quite an ok dungeon in terms of distance... limited fighting space due to too many objects in the maps... - Average runs

Foothills of Black Mountain - Dark Overlord Gates

Dark Overlord Tower - Lv34+
An average dungeon... a little similar to Dark Overlord Training Camp... lots of mobs too... - Preferred runs to grind in parties of 4

- Dark Lair guide not included until FTG is implemented *to be updated
- Master and Disciple guide not included until the system arrives in DN SEA *to be updated
- Effective FTG usage guide not included until implemented *to be updated

Everything above is what I can gather... personal recommendations... and names are loosely translated by myself... if there is anything that I can add on or any mistakes I have made in here... feel free to post it so I can improve this guide to help everyone in their levelling.

[FAQ] Are you ready for 40 cap?

[FAQ] Are you ready for 40 cap?
[ source ]

Greetings all,

I've received the most votes on my facebook page for releasing a guide to tell you what you need to know/do in order to be ready for 40 cap release. So here it is!
This thread will serve to share with you some of the reasons why I think so as well.
We are only around 6 days away from 40 cap release so you still have quite abit of time to get ready for it.
I'll first share a screenshot of what I've been preparing so far so you get the pictorial idea when I write the guide in words later on.

woah woah woah alot of stuff there right?
Don't worry I also share how I get them instead of just telling you what to get but don't tell you how
wink
Let's start off now shall we.

(Rare) Intermediate Crystal and Revert Codes
If you're going for Lvl40 rare weapons for starters when the lvl40 cap is released (I'll be), then this 2 items is definitely a MUST STOCK UP before the cap release
For critical build SM's like myself you might want to stock up at least 60 Rare Crystals/Revert Cubes (I've 50 crystal and 60 reverts ATM)
This is in mind that we use an average of 25 reverts or more to get the 3 line potentials we require for our builds.

For any other classes going for similar builds, this is a must have because prices of intermediate crystal and revert codes (Rare) will definitely soar when the cap is released, because there will be many unprepared ones

Similarly, if you wish to earn some quick cash from those who go into Lvl40 Rare Weapons, stock up so that you can sell them at decent prices.

Current Prices : As low as 10g each (Average 12-13g)
Predicted Prices at 40 Cap : Back to 17g and above like when 32 cap is first realzed
Method to Stock up on Intermediate Reverts (Rare) : Run DOK or Dried Marissa Spring (Basically the shortest Abyss Dungeon in SH and open the bunny at the end)
Method to Stock up on Intermediate Crystals (Rare) : Do Wonderful Theme Park Boss Rush/Warrior Goblin/ + Others, exchange 10 Coupons for 1 Crystal Code

For the Intermediate Crystal Codes, the wonderful Theme Park Method is free, however if you feel that you can simply earn more than 10-12g in the time spent there, feel free to farm gold then buy straight from TH, while it's cheap ;D

Focus of item acquired : More for personal use than for gold as prices at lvl40 cap are still undetermined
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ordinary Jewels
This is the main question that everyone wants answered:
Will Ordinary Jewel prices skyrocket with the release of Lvl40 cap?
A: Yes & No, but no probably
but why?
  • Ordinary Jewel Drop rates will increase in new Lvl32-40 Dungeons (Basically lvl32 cap is like the lvl 16 cap we had where the dungeons drop minimal rough agates when ran at abyss, so lvl 40cap dungeons are like the Lvl24 cap we had, probably a sanctuary core like dungeon will exist)
  • If prices of ordinary jewels went up, more people will go back to AWH Royal Chest, so the prices will go down again ;D
So what should you stock up on?
Just stock up around 10 stacks of Ordinary Agate PLUS the jewel you need for your own class
The first week of lvl40 release won't see a sharp rise in ordinary jewel prices (Except for some panic buyers) but towards the 2nd week most probably you will because more people will be able to run manticore nest hence the availability of epic armors/weapons which meant people will actually start using ordinary jewels.
Stock up around 10 stacks of ordinary agate because during the 1st & 2nd Week of 40 cap release, many people will be going for Lvl40 Rare weapons and thus the demand for ordinary agates will increase sharply. Stock up at least 10 stacks so that you won't be caught in the middle of a short-term price crisis!
Current Prices of Ordinary Agate : 2.3-2.5g (Greenwood server)
Expected Prices of Ordinary Agate : 3-3.5g or more (Especially during the 1st/2nd Week of 40 cap release)
Methods to stock up Ordinary Agates : Just farm gold and buy the cheapest ones now OR Run DMS or F-DOA.
Methods to stock up Jewels :    Good old Abandoned Welton Hallow Royal Chest Runs
Focus of item: Once again personal use rather than for gold gain.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Epic Intermediate Codes
Well well this is the one where you better start now or you might be too late due to the drop rates.
The epic intermediate code that will DEFINITELY RISE IN PRICE is Epic Intermediate Diamond Code
For myself I've stocked up around 23 Intermediate Diamond codes and around 10+ each crystal/agate bravery code for my own use when 40 cap is released
Stocking up on these intermediate epic codes are very very important if you're going for manticore/apoc set in 40 cap. The prices of these will definitely increase by alot especially from the 2nd week of 40 cap release (X'mas Week)
Start stocking up now so you wouldn't have to pay overpriced codes to code your epic weapons/armors.
Also for those who are thinking about getting critical rings, intermediate diamond codes can be used on lvl 40 and below accessories, so save your diamond codes for the latest version of rings that will be out in 40 cap.
What do I do with codes that I can't use for myself? Seal Stamp prices are crazy!
Well save those epic agate codes that you don't need, and then dissemble them for 30g each to be used as reverts while coding your weapons/accessories!
Also why will intermediate diamond codes prices increase?
Well for a simple reason : everyone will be changing into violet and above accessories and yes, they need intermediate diamond codes to get coded (Unlike 32 cap where some still used low grade diamond) This is 100% for sure on necklace and earrings because the stats difference in the higher level accessories are huge!. Just imagine everyone changing into the new < lvl 40 accessories, the demand for intermediate diamond codes will simply go way out of hand.
Current Prices of Intermediate Diamond Codes : 135g-140g Each
Predicted Prices as of 40 Cap : 160g and above (I'm guessing 180g)
Methods to stock up on Intermediate Epic Codes : Royal Chest Runs at AWH / Abyss Dungeons Runs (DMS/DOK/F-DOA)
Personally almost all my 23 intermediate diamond codes came from AWH runs, because I'm very busy with replying emails, making new videos/guides, I stick to grindy/boring but simple AWH RC Runs so that I can do something for myself while doing something for you people
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Comet Dusts
Okay this is a very very touchy topic simply for this reason:
We don't know for sure if Lvl40 Spiral/Vortex Pouches will be released in 40 cap.
The chances are probably high that they will be implemented/released so we still don't want to be caught off guard
For those who didn't go for epics in 32 cap because there weren't any spiral/vortex pouches here's your chance now!
Still don't know what's comet dust or spiral/vortex pouch?
Watch my video guide on them! : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vev7OkwS81w
Visit my blog regarding it for a full explanation + analysis here : http://kazudragonhaven.tumblr.com/cometdustguide
If you're going for comet dust here's the numbers of what you need for the respective pouches
Credits to dnarmory.com
Lvl 40 RARE Spiral Pouch (+7-10) - 160 Comet Dust
Lvl 40 RARE Vortex Pouch (+7-10) - 370 Comet dust
Lvl 40 EPIC Spiral Pouch (+7-10) - 975 Comet Dust
Lvl 40 EPIC Vortex Pouch (+7-10) - 2000 Comet Dust
So what am I dissembling now?
Seeing that the ordinary jewel prices have dropped even as low as 2g each (Ordinary Obsidian on greenwood is 2g each),
I'm dissembling +5 Lvl32 Epics Main Weapons which gives me 80 dust per ; Don't try +6 it gives you 1 sun dust.
The reason why I don't dissemble Lvl24 Rare/Epic +6 is because rough jewel prices are higher sometimes and also getting to +6 has a much higher chance of degrading/failure when enhancing which meant more cost.
Enhancing to +5 is usually smooth and for Lvl32 Epics, it uses only 7 Ordinary Jewels if you have zero fails. Meaning 1 Stack of ordinary jewel can net you 160 comet dust on average!
On my server, comet dusts are selling for 30-33s each, and 160 comet dust will be around 54g. 1 Stack of ordinary agate is only 40g hence you're saving yourself around 10g (cost of the 32 epic weapon is around 1g or lower if you buy the right ones, and enhancing epics cost quite abit, around 50-90s per enhance)
I don't recommend going all crazy for comet dust now.
why?
At Lvl40 cap, Lvl40 +6 Rare weapons will net you 140 Comet Dust (This value is an assumption because LVl24 Rare +6 gave 35 and Lvl32 Rare +6 gave 70 hence I deduced that Lvl40 Rare +6 will give 140 since it's a 2x Multiplier each time the level cap increases), and they still use only Ordinary Agates. So if you're into the comet dust business better stock up on some ordinary agates so that you can get easy comet dust when the cap is out!
Current prices of Comet Dust : 33-35silvers
Predicted Prices of Comet Dust : Maintained because knowledge of comet dust is still very low on the general playerbase hence not everyone will directly buy comet dust.
How much to stock up : At least 10000 Comet Dust before the cap release for personal use
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Fragment of Subtle Skills

Remember how useless you felt these things were in 32 cap because the prices of violet accessories are crazy?
Better start stocking them now because the prices of violet rings will DEFINITELY drop in 40 cap release since manticore/apoc nest will now drop these often now.
Lvl40 caps is going to stay for a long long time, and thus giving us alot of time for specialization and customization
Those +1 to the skills you can get will make alot of difference! Especially if you PvP!
Just stock up enough for 2 or more rings, or simply run chaos opening yourself when you're free (I've only ran it once EVER since 32 cap because violet ring prices are just -.-)
Prices of these things now are 2g each I just wiped the Trading House ;x
Predicted Prices ? Well I don't think it will go up very high but the lazy rich players will definitely buy it off trading house, so if you want to earn some cash, stock up then re-sell them when the prices go up, won't be too much though.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Did I miss out anything?

Feel free to let the rest know what you feel should be stocked up in preparation of 40 CAP Release.

TL;DR?

Stock up on intermediate epic codes (Especially diamond) ; Make sure there are enough jewels/items for your own personal use at least when the cap is released.

If you feel that this guide has helped you, please help me out as well ;D

Farming Dried Marissa Spring (F-DMS)

Farming Dried Marissa Spring (F-DMS)
by AikawaKazu [ source ]

Many have asked me to do the video guide for Dried Marissa Spring...
Before watching the video just know that:
  • There's a large part of the dungeon that you can skip in the first map
  • You can finish running it in 4-5mins (My fastest so far is 4min25s)
  • Royal Chest Location is Obvious and Easy to Spot
  • Dungeon Drops Eye Ornaments (Worth 20-25g)
  • 3 Runs[lvl32equipment] before repairing (F-DOA only can run twice)
For me, this is the new DTMI as it requires a much shorter time to complete compared to F-DOA, as well as being able to run the dungeon 3 times before returning for repairs.
With that, take sometime to watch the video below to see the location of the royal chest as well as where you can skip and where you can't.

Shortcut at 2nd Map - Can kill the mobs below before heading across the bridge

All B-grade crops comes from C-grade seeds. There is a small chance to get B-grade instead of C-grade crops when you harvest.
